Birdwatching in Casares

Birdwatching in Casares

Casares is a bird-watcher’s paradise. The great diversity of habitats in the municipality, its good state of conservation, and its geographical location where the provinces of Malaga and Cadiz meet, between the coastline and the Serranía de Ronda, encourages the presence of multiple bird species that live, nest, or migrate through this territory. They can be observed straight from Casares’ old quarter or from lookout points located in the surrounding areas: Cerro del Calvario (route 7) and Puerto de las Viñas (route 1).
